This set includes 2 lesson plans, a discovery activity, a divisibility rules cheat sheet, task cards and a note catcher for a game of quiz-quiz trade. In the lesson plan, students will investigate which numbers are divisible by 2,3 and 6. They will then look for patterns. Students continue to make more discoveries along the way until the rules for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 are discussed. Students will get practice with the task cards as they use the protocol "quiz-quiz trade" to quiz classmate

I used this as a homework assignment for my students during our study of percentages. A few of the questions are about Ohio State football players (these can be changed since this is a Word Document). Many of the students were very excited about the authentic sports facts!

To demonstrate understanding of proportional relationships, students create scenarios for a proportional relationship and a non-proportional relationship and then create a table and a graph for each scenario. Students must explain what makes their scenario proportional or not proportional. I use this as an assessment in class. It could also be used as homework, review or a project in the classroom. A modified version of the assignment is also included for students that need additional support.

Adding and subtracting integers is one of the most challenging, but fundamental topics students learn during 7th grade math. As I have spent more time teaching this standard, I noticed that students did not have a firm grasp of number lines and that was contributing to misconceptions and errors when adding and subtracting negative numbers. A simple practice sheet for students to work on basic multiplication facts

This worksheet and protocol allow for students to have a stronger understanding of parts of a circle and circumference of circles. There is also a section at the end for students to draw circles using a compass. If compasses are not available, they can use a ruler.
