About the store
I have taught for over 25 years; most of my classroom experience has been at the college level. I have taught 4-8th grade math in multi-level classrooms and Algebra through AP Calculus at the High School level. I have six children of my own, all with very different abilities in math. Helping them understand math has given me many ideas to use in the classroom and unique ways to explain the material.

Experience

I have taught for over 25 years; most of my classroom experience has been at the college level. I have taught 4-8th grade math in multi-level classrooms and Algebra through AP Calculus at the High School level. I have six children of my own, all with very different abilities in math. Teaching style

I believe that everyone can learn mathematics. I believe that teachers just need to find what makes the student have the ah-ha moment. Students learn best by seeing, experiencing, and practicing concepts. Each student learns differently, and no tool works for all students. I teach students with the tools they can best understand, which means I'm always looking for and devising new tools to help the students: TEMPLATES to help them organize their work and the steps necessary, VISUALS to manipulate on their own, VISUALS to demonstrate, REPETITION in writing out work, EXPERIENCES to physically do the problems out.
