1-20 Number Path with Color Change every 5

Research suggests that a number line is not appropriate for PreK-1st grade when learning math. Instead they recommend the use of a Number Path. This number path has 1-20 with the color changing every five to emphasize the benchmarks of 5 and 10. This document is meant to be printed on 11x17 paper. You can laminate each individual number path and tape to students' desks to use just like they would have used a number line.

About the store

Experience

I am a former middle school teacher, but now do trainings for teachers. For the past 4 years my focus has been on how children learn mathematics from PreK-3rd grade.

Teaching style

I used to be a traditional teacher, but have transformed to more of a constructivist. I do believe students need to be able to perform procedures and know their facts, but they need the understanding behind it first.

Additional biographical information

I have three young kiddos (only 3 1/2 years between my oldest and youngest) and a wonderful husband, whom I have known since Kindergarten!
