This is a worksheet to be used with my music video "Multiplication" on YouTube from my channel "mrsteffessongs" in which I sing about topics related to multiplication. It can be used as notes in class or homework or extra credit or as a review in 8th grade or High School Algebra. Common Core standards are referenced in each section and an answer key is included. The first section has an example of defining exponents, copied from the video, followed by 6 examples/exercises of evaluating numerica

This worksheet is designed to be customized by the user to fit his/her unique carnival-style game to play in the classroom to collect data. I hung a fake $1,000,000 bill from the strap of an old t.v. stand and had students throw 10 paper balls to see how many times they could knock it down. It also works well with paper balls and a trash basket to see how many "baskets" they can make. You could also change the number of contestants in the table, though it is a good idea to have more than 10 so

This is a worksheet to use with my music video "Matt's Line Ain't Right" from my YouTube channel "mrsteffessongs". This can be assigned as homework or extra credit and would be a great review for an Algebra class. Answer key is included. Students must first fill in the blank with vocabulary words from the song including the definition of slope and slope-intercept form. Then there are four sections of exercises or examples, depending whether it is used as an introduction (8th grade) or as a revi

Graphs of Rational Functions

Created by
Mr Steffes
This is a graphic organizer to be used as notes for defining and describing graphs of rational functions. An example is given for finding vertical asymptotes and two methods for finding horizontal asymptotes. The first is to find the inverse function then see where it is undefined. The second is to divide the numerator and denominator by the highest power of x then find the value when x approaches infinity. It does not go into detail on actually graphing the functions and does not include holes.
