This build can be completed using any version of Minecraft. With the purchase you will receive two PDF sheets. The first is a review/introduction sheet to arrays. It contains a brief description of what an array is, along with a couple of examples. This sheet is meant to be used as a point of reference/refresher to students as they complete their array multiplication build.
The second sheet contains student instructions for the Minecraft build. As with all of my builds, the sheets have been us
*Portions of this build are not recommended for teachers that have never seen or played Minecraft. Most can easily be completed by the students without teacher help, but some parts require teacher input and instructions.
Completed in its entirety, and using the recommended times, this Minecraft build will take between 10 and 14 class days to complete (assuming 50 minute time increments). However, each "build" contained within this project can be used as a stand-alone build. This amounts to bet
A way to FINALLY let students use Minecraft in a way directly correlated with the Common Core Standards!
This Minecraft lesson is compatible with ALL versions of Minecraft, free or paid. If using the free version, the only step that students will not be able to complete are the steps involving a sign to label points on the coordinate plane. An easy fix -- just have students type the coordinates on a word document.
This is a free version of one of my Minecraft lesson plans. I designed and wrote
This Minecraft build focuses on the 5th grade Common Core Standards 5.G.B.3 and 5.G.B.4 . I have used it with grades 4 and 6 as well with no adaptations. The PDF you receive is in the following format (for a better look at my Minecraft build formats before purchasing, check out my free Coordinate Plane lesson, http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Minecraft-Coordinate-Plane-Lesson-Plan-and-Instructions-965835 ):

A short lesson that teaches symmetry using the game Minecraft. The Minecraft build may be completed using any version of Minecraft. Students may complete the build even if the teacher has no knowledge of Minecraft. Simply hand students the student handout (which includes screenshots to help them with their build) and they can complete the lesson on their own. Teachers only need to be able to recognize symmetrical shapes! This lesson corresponds directly with the fourth grade standard:
CCSS.MATH
This is an excellent activity for teachers to hand out as extension or remedial work. The activity involves students creating their own decimal math problems (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), and then using Minecraft to display the problems in a fun way (roller coasters).** No Minecraft experience necessary!**
With the purchase you will receive:
-A small instruction sheet for teachers — this is a basic build and requires little to no initial input from the teacher.

A quick Minecraft build that correlates with common core standard 4.G.A.1. The PDF purchase includes an instruction sheet for students and a screenshot with what the finished product will look like. The build may be completed on any version of Minecraft.
**Teachers need no prior knowledge of Minecraft to check for build accuracy.
This Minecraft build covers the concept of ratios (ratio sentences, labeling ratios, creating ratios). It can be used as an introduction, main lesson, extension or remedial work. As with the majority of my builds, teachers do NOT need any experience with Minecraft prior to this build! The PDF you purchase includes the following:
A teacher instruction sheet which contains the following sections:
Standard- Which Common Core Math standards are covered.
Length - How long the project will take.
This Minecraft build is extremely simple and straightforward. The student instruction sheet takes students through a Minecraft build step by step. The build has students building number lines, both the positive and negative sides, and then building something that they associate with each side. Students of all learning levels can complete the build.
As in my other builds, there is an optional research section for the students to complete that will lead to further mastery of the content.
