Ladybug Math - Counting On
This activity allows student to practice counting on as a strategy for addition. It helps them get the big number in their head and count up the other number using the dots on the ladybug.
It is differentiated by having the first sheet for students that need basic level practice. The second sheet allows students to choose their first number. Some students could be adding 10+6 while others are adding 56+6, while others are adding 1,235+6. With students picking their 'just right numbers,' t

Addition Dominoes - Differentiated
Dominos are a great hands-on way for students to practice addition. Computation skills can be more easily developed when students have manipulatives in math, and the dots on the dominos support students in learning addition. This would be a great math station in Math Workshop. It could be used in paper form or used in a sheet protector or laminated for repeated use.
DIFFERENTIATION TIP:
It can be easily differentiated by having:
1) Some students add the left side of the domino with the right
