I use these worksheets as a daily review to begin math time. It’s a great quiet and quick individual activity to get my students minds into math mode.
I use them with my 4th grade math class but they could also be used as a review for 5th grade or even for some 3rd grade classes. I give my students 10 minutes to complete them at the beginning of class then whatever they don’t finish usually becomes homework, or we go over them as a class if any of the problems are a useful skill for the lesson

They then walk around the room asking classmates "yes" or "no" questions in an attempt to figure out what name they are wearing. Fun times ahead! Perfect for a Halloween party!

Keeping track of where students should be during Daily 5 activities can be challenging. Especially when you're trying to work with a small group of students or one-on-one while other students are spread through stations throughout the classroom. I've tried the signs a
Reading is my favorite! But that’s not always the case for students. I made these pointers for my students to keep reading fun. I found that they often get bored following along with their finger while they read. (Probably because I’m constantly reminding them). And let’s be honest, your finger can get a little boring to stare at. So I found a way to make it fun! At the beginning of every month, I laminate the corresponding sheet of pointers then give them to my students to cut out and attach to
I had to find a way to get away from simply asking my student's questions to test their comprehension. That's how I came up with this reusable reading comprehension mat. They fill in the blanks in the left column (Book Title, Main Characters, Setting, Etc) then they use the "First, Then, and Finally" areas to draw pictures of what happened in the book. They love

This is a great activity for the Daily 5 or to fill down time!
Instructions: Print and attach to the front cover of notebooks. I attach them by covering them in clear packaging tape so they survive the school year. Also included are prompts for each topic. I tape the prompts/questions on the inside of the front cover (so it’s a little bit of a surprise when they make their selection).
I have my students write in the “traveling notebooks” once a week. After we are finished with them, I take th

Works with any sight word list! (But Dolch sight word lists are provided for Pre-Primer - 3rd Grade)
