This is a set of 8 Math notes covering the concepts of rates, ratios, and proportions. Each note page contains detailed explanations, examples, and practice problems. I used these with my Sixth Graders to introduce the concepts. I have also included a quick quiz as the last page of the document.

This is a small group Math station I created for my second graders. It is designed to introduce and practice the concept of whole number division. You will need: ice cube trays, a permanent marker to write inside the trays, and counters (like beans). Students practice using the ice cube tray, like a ten frame, to divide up specific amounts of the counters. I have included four practice pages. This set of notes covers the connection between fractions and decimals. The vocabulary included are the terms: place value, denominator, and numerator. I have included example problems for simplifying fractions and writing fractions as decimals or vice versa.
