Mean, Median, Mode, Range, and Standard Deviation Riddle

Created by
MsJ2018
This is a riddle worksheet that I made over mean, median, mode, range, and standard deviation. There are three sets of numbers (one for ages in a family, one for prices of cell phones, and one for city populations) and students find the mean, median, mode, range, and standard deviation of each. They match the correct answer and then write the letter at the bottom to get the answer to the riddle.

Max the Mighty Anticipation Guide

I couldn't find an anticipation guide for Max the Mighty, so I created one to use with my class. It has statements or events from the book and students either agree or disagree with the statement. After reading the book, they then look back through the statements deciding whether or not they agree or disagree and find textual evidence to support their response. They also then write a conclusion about their thoughts on the book.

Multi Step Equations and Variables on Both Sides

This is a worksheet to review working on multi step equations and equations with variables on both sides. It's a riddle one. An answer key is provided. Unfortunately, there's not really room to work the problems out on this sheet unless students do so on the sides or the back. I always tell my students they can use the back of the paper or copy the problems onto notebook paper and staple it.

5.5 Standard Form Mini Mystery

This is a mini mystery that I made for my students. There are two versions of it for differentiation; however, the answer is the same. This makes it less obvious if a student has a different version from his/her peers. Students are to solve each problem according to the directions. Once they get an answer, they find it on the sheet and cross off that name or item. The names/items left at the end will go to fill in the blanks at the bottom of the page to solve the mystery. The easier version has

This is a sheet I made for my students for them to keep track of information about different characters in the story and to find definitions for vocabulary words. I put this on the computer for my students, so when they type, the boxes expand to the amount of room they need. They could be made larger if you want to print it off for students.

This is a commissions worksheet that I made for my consumer math class. Because we are limited to the amount of copies we make/paper we print, I posted this to Google Classroom and had them work the problems out on notebook paper. It is in Word, so you can always add more spaces, change the questions, add more, etc. to best fit what you need for your class. At the top are the definitions for different types of commission and then there are problems for students to solve. The answer key is on the

United Seventh Grade Questions and Vocabulary

These are the questions for each chapter that students answered. They are all opinions and they also had to choose two from each chapter to respond to. Vocabulary words are also included where students were to use context clues to determine the meaning of the word. This was done on Google Classroom. I split them up from chapters 1-5 and then 6-10 and had students turn them in at those times, but they could be split up and done a chapter at a time too.

George's Marvelous Medicine Cause and Effect

This is a Cause and Effect organizer that I made for George's Marvelous Medicine. Students will fill in either the cause because an effect is given, or vice versa. They can fill this in either as they read the book or afterwards. I had my students wait until we finished the book to do this, but they were also high school special education students that I did this with. Younger students might need to fill it in as they read and there are class discussions. Hopefully this uploads ok. The thumbnail

Adding a Suffix Practice

MsJ2018
I had an adapted reading class where I used the Multisensory Reading and Spelling curriculum. This is assignment that I had students do. They had to add the suffix to the base word, and then determine whether it made a real word or not. If it didn't, then they put an x in the box. Suffixes used: er, est, age, able, s, ly, y, less, ing, or, ee.

There will be a few answers not used.

This is a double bubble chart that I made for students to compare and contrast the book and the movie for So B. It. The center blue ovals are for comparing, and the colored ones are for the differences. It's in Word Document and can be edited, but I did group all of the shapes together to make them one. This can either be typed on (I included text boxes), or it can be printed and written on.

This is a riddle worksheet over factoring ax^2+bx+c. There are two "versions" of the assignment. Each question is the same and all of the answers are the same, but on the second sheet the questions/answers are chunked into groups of 6. This was done for students who struggle to look at everything at once and do better when the problems are chunked into sections or parts. Answer key is included. It is the same for both sheets. It is on Microsoft Word and therefore can be edited to fit your class/
