Over time, we identify the main idea together and students begin to find the details on their own. Every year I have a variety of professionals come into my class and present to my students about their jobs, how they got there, etc. Students are able to ask questions and engage with the experts. After, they use these workbooks to reflect on what they learned and if the presenter's career seems like something that would interest them in their future.
