These posters have the 3 basic addition and subtraction problem thinking patterns: some and some more, some went away, and bigger smaller difference. These are bright and colorful posters that can be displayed on a math word wall or anywhere in a classroom to students learn and remember to use the correct operation and equation to solve math story problems.

Five in a Row addition game

A fun way to practice addition! This is a SMART notebook file that contains a gameboard and dice to play an addition game. Roll the two dot dice. Add the two addends together. Cover up the sum on the gameboard using the color counters shown. Students can work together as partners to try to cover "5 in a row," or they can compete with different colors and try to cover 5 in a row before their opponent. Cover all numbers for a "black out" challenge.
