Objectives, "I Can" statements, created using the Common Core Mathematics Standards for 2nd grade. They statements are created into statements that are color coded by Anchor Standard, fun font, and ready to be printed, laminated, and used all around your classroom!

This unit focuses on all Operations & Algebraic Thinking Standards in second grade. It is a great unit to use at the end of the year to review and assess standards. Included: The Heat is On: OA 2.1 Use addition and subtraction within 100 to solve one and two step word problems. Purple Base-10 Eater is a great way for students to practice adding by place value to find the sum, and reading base-10 notation. The object of the game is like the game, Memory. Students place cards face down in rows and try to match number sentences to the base 10 notation that shows the sum of the number sentence. Students take turns until all matches are found. But hurry because the "Purple Base-10 Eater" is coming to gobble up all the base-10 blocks!!
