Great activity for students to understand what all is/is not included in an Ecosystem, Community, Population, and Organism. Students can create any ecosystem they are familiar with or research ecosystems throughout the world. Time to create Levels of Organization can range from 20 minutes to about 40 minutes depending on student understanding. Once created, teacher can print out and students can glue into their Science Journals to use as a Graphic Organizer

This is a great activity for students to reinforce or demonstrate knowledge of the Water Cycle including: Evaporation, Precipitation, Condensation, Water Vapor, Runoff, and whether it is a Heating or Cooling process. It also is differentiated for students. One copy is color coordinated, so that students who struggle have some assistance without the teacher. Producer, Consumer, and Decomposer Food Chain Sort
This is an introduction/review for students before/after learning about Producers, Consumers, and Decomposers as well as Food Chains. It also reinforces that all energy in a Food Chain Ecosystem starts with the Sun and goes directly to the Producers. Chemical Symbol vs Chemical Formula Sort
Good for practice or reinforcement of the differences between Chemical Symbols and Chemical Formulas. It should only take the students about 5-10 minutes to complete but it is a good reference for the teacher to check student understanding of the two. I usually have students complete this when they have finished the days lesson, or any day that is given to students to catch up on any missing work.

Learning doesn't have to come strictly from a book!!!
I love making Science relatable and engaging to all students by demonstrating how Science is used in our everyday lives. My lessons are designed for all levels of learners, from "Science is my best subject" to "Science is my worst subject".
I only require three things from my students:
1) Be honest
2) Be respectful to the learning environment
3) Effort
I hold my students very accountable for their education, which is why I always reward them with hands-on activities/experiments and the end of every unit. I also love to allow the students to illustrate and explain their learning by having them use their real-world experiences in their illustrations to reinforce that Science is a part of their everyday lives, while also reminding them that you cannot do Science without Reading, Writing, and Mathematics at a minimum
