Over my career, I have had the pleasure of working with students in underserved, urban high schools. Many of my students spoke English as their second language, so my products utilize strategies that I have found effective in helping these amazing students grasp important concepts. I have taught Language Arts at all high school grade levels, I spent three years teaching Drama, and I spent three years incorporating mindfulness into my English classroom.
Free product! Here are 37 tongue twisters for drama class. Young actors often struggle with speaking too quickly and/or not enunciating their words (usually because of nerves). Tongue twisters allow them to become aware of slowing down and speaking clearly.
Just cut them up and pass them out!

Experience
Over my career, I have had the pleasure of working with students in underserved, urban high schools. Many of my students spoke English as their second language, so my products utilize strategies that I have found effective in helping these amazing students grasp important concepts. Teaching style
The students I teach need plenty of scaffolding and lessons that focus on the standards without a lot of extra fluff, so you will see a lot of that in my products. Ideally, I follow the "I do it, we do it, you do it" model. I try to have fun with my lessons, but I'm still trying to figure out how to make writing an essay as entertaining as Snapchat.
