This is a good powerpoint for an introductory class of physical science or middle school science. It describes the parts of an atom, the 1st four orbitals, and how to determine the number of protons, nuetrons, and electrons. The powerpoint is animated to give small bits at each click of the mouse. The demo will give you an idea of how it works.

The steps of the scientific method as I present them in class. I use the definition of prediction for Hypothesis since I feel that "educated Guess" does not make sense. There is also a guide to making a good graph with a chart to make the three basic types. The matter is straight forward and simple which includes solving for density and the particle theory of phases. I have a slide that says "Archimedes Day." This is short and sweet since I have very little time to cover nuclear science with Acids and bases in a Physical Science class. When I get to the part where the slide asks whether an acid is worse or a base, most kids will say acid because of the social stigma of acids. I have a story to tell them about was almost severely burned with a strong base. It was in a hospital kitchen no less!
