I have had the privilege of teaching high school sciences in different settings: 5 years teaching in a Public High School and over 14 years teaching in a Private High School.
This is a two-part lesson-activity in which students learn about energy within forced state changes and then apply the concepts to the process of home-made Ice Cream. It works well as a supplemental review towards the middle of the school year, such as an end of semester Christmas (Holiday) party. The product contains two files: Instructor Guide and Presentation.
The instructor guide is as shown in the preview file. The actual presentation version you will teach from looks the same, except
The "Chemistry Quint-a-sense" series is a fun way to involve all five senses in the learning process.
Students are given an audio-visual treat that is followed by a second treat that can be touched, tasted, and smelled!
WHAT WILL I GET WITH THIS PRODUCT?
This download is week 24 in the Chemistry Quint-a-sense series, and is meant to correlate best with the last week in February.
You will get a sharable mini-lesson, which can be presented over the course of 3-10 minutes, and remembered for
This is a compilation of two mini-lessons on the value of Pi. Students are guided through 2 hands-on activities to discover the value of pie. They then apply what they learned to a real pie*.
Suitable for PreAlgebra through high school. The proofs are NOT mathematical proofs, but are desinged to be hands-on and tangible. Students will "discover" pi themselves.
*real pie not included in download.
WHAT WILL I GET?
You will get a PDF with the Printables and Instructor Guide. You will get a

(10^23)....And your instructor will only give you both “Grams” and “Atomic” units on Mole day (10-23)] Although the lesson is most appropriately shared on the school day nearest October 23rd, i
This is something I prepared and presented for grade school students who were visiting my high school on a field trip.
It is a fun presentation appropriate and usable for a wide range of grades

I posted it here for myself as a future reference and for others to make use of. You are
