Teaching style
My teaching style is energetic and collaborative, fostering an environment where student participation is paramount. My classroom is dynamic and interactive, with students constantly engaged in multiple activities at once.
I am enthusiastic and deeply committed to ensuring student understanding through creative and hands-on learning. My approach combines lectures with activities that focus on standards and Common Core-based lessons and projects, making learning both effective and enjoyable.

My own education history
After graduating from high school, I attended Saddleback Junior College before transferring to UCSB, where I earned a degree in History and a minor in Coaching. Following my credential program, I completed my Master's in Education in 1995 and began my teaching career in the fall of that same year.
Additional biographical information
I love being outdoors and spending quality time with my kids. As an avid surfer and pickleball player, I find joy in staying active and embracing new challenges. I also have a passion for travel, having visited Europe multiple times and Hawaii a dozen times. Looking ahead, I hope to live in Mexico after my teaching career.
