This is a quick drill idiom game for small groups (4 players max). Each idiom card has the idiom written and a short quote to put the idiom in some context. With STAAR week coming up in Texas, it got me thinking about the multiple meanings of star/STAAR. Color coded by part of speech (red is verb, orange is noun, green is adjective). 8 meanings total! I'm planning on teaching each meaning, then having my students create sentences using 2 or more meanings of star/STAAR. Possibly pairing it with some sort of star craft.
