Following Directions - An Anytime Activity
Students of all ages struggle with following directions. These activities are a fun way to practice listening and/or reading skills. Students are given a list of instructions. Then when time is up, they may check their answers to the answer key. Instructions vary from ‘draw a circle in the upper right corner’ to ‘take your age and multiply it by 2’. I have been teaching HS math since 2001. I have a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Math Ed and a Master's Degree in Technology in the Classroom.
Teaching style
My philosophy of teaching is to find different ways for students to learn. I believe it is important to show students that math does apply to the "real world" and that yes, indeed, math can be fun.

I enjoy trying new strategies with my students and 'trying' to keep up with them and technology in the classroom.
I have also started working with my mom to create TpT resources. She has been teaching in the elementary grades for over 40 years!
