Help students learn the process of DNA Replication with these paper models. Available to print in both B & W and color options, you can choose the best size for your models. This year I printed models on large 11x17 paper and made a big model I used on the tabletops and later taped it on the wall to be a visual study area. Then I had students use smaller models later to practice explaining the process with a partner. At quiz time I covered the wall with a piece of butcher paper. You might a

These are two resources to help in teaching blood type genetics. 1) For students completing a real or simulated blood-typing lab, there is a pre-lab table. This helps students organize their knowledge of the different antigens on red blood cells and antibodies in blood serum, and predict what they will see in the lab as results for each blood type. 2) For students studying blood transfusions, there is a table for identifying which blood types are compatible. This requires that students alr

Biology is the study of life. Often the first notes taken in a biology class are - what makes something alive?? Let your first notes be unique and active for the students, plus low prep for you!! Students can use their textbook or other source to get a basic understanding of the features that are generally considered to be common to all living things. Then their notes can be folded into the childhood classic form of a cootie catcher!

HHMI Biointeractive has lots of awesome resources for teaching Biology. For teaching genetics and evolution, they have multiple resources to accompany their video Making of the Fittest: Natural Selection in Humans. They are very good, but bulky. I didn't want to print a ton of pages for students. This is a resource I made by compiling a few key parts into a smaller document.
