I use these to teach my students how to write engaging introductions that hook the reader. When I teach the students how to use these introductions, I have them come up with an idea for how the rest of the text would sound. They are great for shared writing! The students also use these to revise to meet the topics of their own writing. There are examples for report, narrative, and opinion pieces.
