Teaching is my passion. I've taught a variety of grades at a variety of public and private schools. Now I am focused on teaching and learning with my kids and healing naturally from breast cancer. You can read more about that journey @lostbells & @tangledwithtinkering.

Counting by 1s, 2s, 5s, 10s, & 25s

This is a challenge I use in my classroom - I've used it in Kindergarten and First Grade, and it could be adapted and used for 2nd grade. The students have to count by 1s, 2s, 5s, 10s, and 25s individually to earn a sticker to pass off each number on their shooting star. When they have passed all of them off they earn a shooting star award and prize (mine contain starbursts, glowing stars, star stickers, etc.) It's a great way to get kids motivated to learn to count.
