Greatest Common Factor (GCF) and Least Common Multiple (LCM) Task

Created by
Task Master
The following task can be used as an activity and/or assessment. It is a great task for a formal or informal observation. However it is important to note that students should already be familiar with the concepts of greatest common factor and least common multiple. During this task, students will encounter two real world mathematical problems. First students will pretend to work for customer service at J.F.K. airport. They will provide information about the shuttle service J.F.K. offers that t

About the store

Experience

I am a middle school teacher for the city of New York. I teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade Math, English, Science & Social Studies. I have been educating since 2005. While in the classroom, I have coached both students and teachers.

Teaching style

As a teacher, my goal is to make learning FUN! I provide children with strategies on how to learn so they can comprehend what is being taught. I instill knowledge that each child needs in order to be successful. I enjoy small group instruction and creating tiered tasks. There is nothing better than seeing the light bulbs of your students go off. The goal of my tasks is to create engaging activities that challenge students to think and apply academic concepts that inevitably produce open discourse amongst the students.
