This file contains a pretest and quiz (post test) for a forces and motion overview. Balanced and unbalanced forces, friction, inertia, gravity, air resistance, and acceleration are among the many concepts included. I used this pretest and quiz with my 6th grade students in preparation for a study on Newton's Laws of Motion. This resource would be appropriate for grades 5-12.

This practice worksheet includes Newton's Second Law of Motion word problems where students solve for force using F = M x A. I created this practice sheet for my sixth graders, however it would certainly be appropriate for students in grades 6-12.

Engage students in informational reading, analysis, and writing through this interactive lesson. Before reading, students complete a journal prompt to promote discussion.
