The place value system can get confusing as students work their way into decimals. WRITING CENTER! This writing center activity requires students to unscramble sentences. They should recognize that a sentence must start with a capital letter, and end with a punctuation mark. Students then have a worksheet that goes along with the station. They are required to write the sentence that they have unscrambled. Sentences incorporate mostly first grade sight words and are primarily 4-5 word sentences.

These cards are perfect for a unit on measuring! Throw these in with any lesson planning that you do--whether it be making play-doh, trail mix, silly puddy, etc! It is a wonderful way to keep children involved in creating recipes and understanding measurements. They may even be nice for your own use at home. They can be printed on an 8.5x11" paper.
