This module is designed to help students understand both the particle theory a little better and also get some experience programming.
This module can be given to students to show them how to code in Scratch and to reinforce the ideas of the Particle Theory of matter. No coding experience is necessary and no special equipment is needed other than this workbook and access to the internet.
No experience needed in programming. Tie together the concept of math arrays and also learn the basics of coding. Scratch is a free online coding platform and I walk you through all the steps needed to make a simple program of a math array. Coding is a great way to introduce STEM into your classroom and this will help increase your confidence in its use.

Programming is becoming a life skill. So I have compiled this series to teach you and your students how to code using Scratch, a free browser based coding application. No experience necessary. You can insert this into your science curriculum because it also reinforces the particle theory. Learning coding and science at the same time! Get ready for the accolades!
Scratch is developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab. It is available for free at https://scratch.mit.edu".
