This product walks students through 7 different budgets and bills. This includes finding gross and net income and bill totals. It requires operations with decimals (the focus of this worksheet). The top says "no calculator" but file is in word, so that can be deleted. The 8th question on the sheet is a reflection question. It's a great real-world application of working with decimals.

My own education history
I attended Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas from 2003-2007. I graduated with a BSE in middle school mathematics and journalism. I hope to start my masters in Instructional Design and Technology in the summer of 2011 :)

I think it's always important to thank the people that got you to where you are... Mary Wolfe (4th grade), Jennifer Hanson (journalism), Ryan Burrows (HS LA and Scholar's Bowl), Ron Morrill (JH math), Brock Wenciker (HS math), and my mom (JH/HS librarian). Without teachers like these, I wouldn't be half the teacher I am today.
