Description
This kindergarten math game is great for math centers or guided math groups. Your students will love identifying shapes, drawing shapes, and describing shape attributes in this engaging and exciting math game. Also great for Pre-K or Preschool students.
In this one- or two-player math game, called "Grant Me a Wish," students must look at attribute clues and find a shape that matches.
This product includes:
• All game pieces in both color and black and white
• Four versions: Corners and Sides version, Vertices and Sides version, Dots and Lines version, and Numeral version
• Optional items: game pieces, manipulative mats, number lines, visual instructions, and visual reminder of “ways to add”
• FOURTEEN different recording sheets to choose from
• I can statements to accompany the game
• Two options for how to play
How to play:
Option #1:
• Students place the Wish Cards in a pile upside down or in a paper bag. They then arrange the Genie Cards FACE UP in front of them so they can see all the Genie Cards at once.
• One at a time, students draw a Wish Card, read the clue that the character is wishing for, and find a Genie that will grant them the wish. Once they have matched the cards, the student says a sentence (such as “a square has four sides and four vertices”) and gets to keep the cards in a pile for themselves.
Option #2:
• Print Wish Cards and Genie Cards on different colored paper.
• Students place all cards face down.
• Students play Memory by turning over one card of each color, looking for Genies that will grant the Wish. Once they have matching cards, the student says a sentence (such as “a square has four sides and four vertices”) and gets to keep the cards in a pile for themselves.
