How to play:
This game can be played individually or with a buddy.
In this exciting game, students must move along the gameboard to escape from Oz – but beware! The Wicked Witch of the West doesn’t want anyone to leave! In order to escape, students must do the following:
• Students choose Personal Game Pieces.
• Students place Game Pieces on the bottom square of the Gameboard.
• Students take turns drawing Game Cards, meeting new characters as they do. Students determine if the Game Card is true (if the number matches the picture). If it is, they advance their Personal Game Piece. If not, they stay on their current square.
• Students may use manipulatives, a number line, or their fingers to determine if the Game Card is true.
• The first student to land on Emerald City wins the game.
• Optional: Students fill out a recording sheet as they play.
