Description
This kindergarten math game is a perfect resource for math centers and guided math groups. Your students will love making the gumball machines have an equal number of gumballs. It's also great for Preschool or Pre-k students who are ready for this skill.
In this exciting one- or two-player game, called Make Them Equal, students count the number of gumballs in two different gumball machines, then use puffballs or whiteboard markers to make the gumball machines equal. You may also choose a recording sheet if desired.
This resource includes a color and black and white version.
Two optional recording sheets included:
- Write the numbers to complete the sentence: __ is equal to __.
- Write the numbers com complete the equation: __ = __
How to play:
• Students choose a card and count the gumballs on each side. To make the two sides equal, students place puffballs on the side with less gumballs.
• Alternately, laminate the pages so students can use whiteboard markers to draw gumballs on the side with less.
• Optional: Students fill out one of the recording sheets as they play.
