I recently purchased this science lesson content for my middle school classroom, and it’s been a great addition to the materials I already use. The quality of the resource is solid—well-organized, clear, and engaging—and it blended smoothly with my existing lesson plans. My classroom includes a wide range of learners, including students with IEPs and 504 plans, English language learners, and several gifted students. After making a few adaptations to meet the diverse needs in my room, I found that all my students were able to access and benefit from the content. It offered enough structure for those who needed support and enough flexibility and depth for students ready for enrichment. Overall, this resource has added value to my instruction, and I appreciate having another tool that supports differentiated learning in a meaningful way.

This is excellent! I can't believe how comprehensive this bundle is. I just did my first one with the students, and they were very engaged, motivated, and self-directed. I wasn't sure how it would go with this group of students, but I am so happy with it! It's a great way to get them moving, working independently or together, and to reduce the amount of time I actually talk (haha). Thanks so much!

I love these resources, have a great range of activities and really require students to think actively. Great way to get students to take control of their learning and work cooperatively in a group.

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
NGSS3-PS2-1
Plan and conduct an investigation to provide evidence of the effects of balanced and unbalanced forces on the motion of an object. Examples could include an unbalanced force on one side of a ball can make it start moving; and, balanced forces pushing on a box from both sides will not produce any motion at all. Assessment is limited to one variable at a time: number, size, or direction of forces. Assessment does not include quantitative force size, only qualitative and relative. Assessment is limited to gravity being addressed as a force that pulls objects down.
NGSSMS-PS2-4
Construct and present arguments using evidence to support the claim that gravitational interactions are attractive and depend on the masses of interacting objects. Examples of evidence for arguments could include data generated from simulations or digital tools; and charts displaying mass, strength of interaction, distance from the Sun, and orbital periods of objects within the solar system. Assessment does not include Newton’s Law of Gravitation or Kepler’s Laws.
NGSS3-PS2-2
Make observations and/or measurements of an object’s motion to provide evidence that a pattern can be used to predict future motion. Examples of motion with a predictable pattern could include a child swinging in a swing, a ball rolling back and forth in a bowl, and two children on a see-saw. Assessment does not include technical terms such as period and frequency.
