When you purchase the bundle, you save BIG!

THE BUNDLE INCLUDES:

MULTIPLICATION USING EQUAL GROUPS

✅EQUAL GROUP MINI LESSON

The equal groups mini-lesson teaches the difference between different multiplication terms like repeated addition, product, times, double, twice, each time, factor, multiplication symbol, and product.

✅ 10 EQUAL GROUP WORKSHEETS

Students practice showing equal groups when given a multiplication equation, drawing multiplication pictures of equal groups, circling equal groups to solve multiplication equations, and matching equal groups of objects to multiplication equations while getting to color at the same time.

✅ 4 ERROR ANALYSIS PAGES

Students look at four different work samples and decide which pages are right and which are wrong based on what is shown. These are perfect for math talk or whole group discussions. The error analysis pages help with evaluating common third grade math mistakes.

✅ EMOJI THEMED TASK CARDS

There are 24 emoji task cards that practice with multiplication equal groups. Students write a multiplication equation to solve each equation. You could use these task cards in SCOOT, as a scavenger hunt, or during math centers. Each task card shows a different equal groups picture for students to interpret.

✅CUT AND GLUE ACTIVITY

Students create a picture using the objects at the bottom. They fill in the multiplication equation and figure out the equation's answer using the manipulatives in the picture. It's a great hands-on activity as an introduction to multiplication. There are 10 pages included. These are perfect for students who need remediation with this skill or just some extra practice.

✅EMOJI MATH SORT

This is a sorting activity where students put a smile or a frown emoji on top of each task card. If the area is correct, a happy smile is put on top of it. If the wrong area was found, the students put a frown on top of the task card.

✅EQUAL GROUPS PENCIL ACTIVITY

Students receive manipulatives to cut out and they can make different sets of equal groups in their interactive math notebook using the objects they've cut out. Students can move the pencils around to make different multiplication equations.

✅GAME #1: SAFE OR STEAL

This game is great for enrichment! While I continue working on the equal groups strategy with my lower students, my high ability students play this in groups around the room. It's a card game that is easy to learn and you can quickly teach it to students. They then get extra practice with the skill when they become fast-finishers.

✅ GAME #2: BUILD A CAMP GAME

Each player gets a background to build their camp on. Playing cards and pieces go in the middle. Each time you get an answer correct, you earn a piece for your campsite. Chance cards are provided to spice up gameplay. You never know who’s going to win with these included! The first person to finish getting 10 items in their campground wins!

✅ GAME #3: RACING GAME

This game is called "Line Them Up!". In the game, students race to see which team can line their cards up in the correct order first. Here are the steps to play. Mix up each set of cards well. Give a set of cards to each team. Start the race. Students find the START card first. They put this down. Once the start card is found, students find the answer to the equation. They continue to “Line Them Up” until they reach the FINISH card. The first team done wins!

MULTIPLICATION USING ARRAYS

✅ARRAY MINI LESSON

The first part of the mini-lesson gives students manipulatives to cut out and they can make different arrays in their interactive math notebook using the objects they've cut out. The second part teaches the difference between rows and columns in arrays and gives students practice with this multiplication strategy.

✅10 ARRAY WORKSHEETS

Students practice drawing arrays when given a multiplication equation, drawing arrays when given a multiplication word problem, writing multiplication equations when shown an array, and matching arrays that are the same using the commutative property of multiplication.

There are 24 emoji task cards that practice with multiplication arrays. Students write a multiplication equation to solve each problem. You could use these task cards in SCOOT, as a scavenger hunt, or during math centers. Each task card shows a different array for students to interpret.

✅CUT AND GLUE ACTIVITY: ARRAY NEIGHBORHOOD

Uh oh! It looks like everyone forgot where they live! Use the clues to help everyone get home. Cut out each house and each person. On a separate piece of paper/construction paper, glue each person next to the house they live in. Students use their knowledge of arrays to solve the clues.

✅ ARRAY PUZZLES

There are 9 puzzles for students to put together. The 1 puzzle features "1x a number" arrays. The 2 puzzle features "2x a number" arrays. And so on. The puzzles go through the 9 facts.

✅GAME #1: ANIMAL MATCHING

Students match up each animal mom with the correc baby. There are 144 baby animals and mothers. There are 12 mothers that each have 12 kids. So there are 12 tiger moms that each have a x6 fact on them. Then, there are 12 baby tigers that each have an answer on them. You could give students all the animals at once or divide them into 12 matching sets. Then, students could work on a different set of facts at each math station. Or, you could differentiate and give a different set to each student.

✅ GAME #2: BUILD A VOLLEYBALL COURT

Each player gets a background to build their volleyball court on. Playing cards and pieces go in the middle. Each time you get an answer correct, you earn a piece for your volleyball court. Chance cards are provided to spice up gameplay. You never know who’s going to win with these included! The first person to finish getting 10 items in their volleyball court wins!

✅ GAME #3: WHOLE CLASS GAME

I call this game "Bucket Filler!". Set up the task cards all around the room for students. Print enough of each task card for every student. Give each student a recording sheet. Let students wander the room and solve each task card. When they solve a card, they bring it to the teacher to be checked. If it's correct, they get to drop the task card in a bucket. At the end of gameplay, the teacher draws names out of the bucket. Those students earn a small prize as a reward (an eraser, a pencil, etc).

✅GAME #4: CRAYON SCRAMBLE

Students match the correct crayon matches together. They look at the arrays and count how many rows and columns are in each one. They then find the matching multiplication sentence. This is great as an introduction to multiplication because students do not need to solve to play. They only need to know how to put the multiplication equation together using the picture (array).

MULTIPLICATION USING REPEATED ADDITION

✅ REPEATED ADDITION MINI LESSON

The repeated addition mini-lesson gives students manipulatives to cut out and they can make different repeated addition equations in their interactive math notebook using the objects they've cut out. Students can refer back to their notebooks at any time to review what they've learned.

✅10 REPEATED ADDITION WORKSHEETS

Students solve multiplication equations using repeated addition, use repeated addition to figure out some rhino math equations, write repeated addition equations after looking at equal groups in multiplication strategy pictures, and fill in a chart that shows multiplication equations, how many equal groups there are, and a repeated addition sentence.

There are 24 emoji task cards that practice with repeated addition. Students write a repeated addition equation to solve each equation. You could use these task cards in SCOOT, as a scavenger hunt, or during math centers.

✅ MATCHING ACTIVITY: COFFEE AND TECHNOLOGY

Each of the cell phone users has lost their cup of coffee. Match up each cup of coffee with the correct cell phone based on the repeated addition equations.

✅EMOJI MATH SORT

This is a sorting activity where students put a smile or a frown emoji on top of each task card. If the area is correct, a happy smile is put on top of it. If the wrong area was found, the students put a frown on top of the task card.

✅GAME #1: ANIMAL WORLD

You have never seen so many different animals before! Figure out the repeated addition equations on each card about each animal to win and make your way across the game board!

✅ GAME #2: BUILD A GROCERY CART GAME

Each player gets a background to build their grocery cart on. Playing cards and pieces go in the middle. Each time you get an answer correct, you earn a piece for your grocery cart. Chance cards are provided to spice up gameplay. You never know who’s going to win with these included! The first person to finish getting 10 items in their grocery cart wins!

✅ GAME #3: BUBBLE GUM GAME

Students match each piece of bubble gum with the correct kid. There are over 144 cards included with facts from 1-12.

✅ GAME #4: RACING GAME

This game is called "Line Them Up!". In the game, students race to see which team can line their cards up in the correct order first. Here are the steps to play. Mix up each set of cards well. Give a set of cards to each team. Start the race. Students find the START card first. They put this down. Once the start card is found, students find the answer to the equation. They continue to “Line Them Up” until they reach the FINISH card. The first team done wins!
