This resource includes:
✅DIVISION SKIP COUNTING MINI LESSON
The mini lesson is perfect for practicing skip counting. Students practice solving a few division equations and also gain a list of skip counting sequences from 2-10 to refer back to. Students glue the page when they're finished into their interactive math notebook.
✅10 SKIP COUNTING WORKSHEETS
Students practice solving division equations with skip counting, skip count like super heroes in a matching worksheet, use their error analysis skills to figure out what's wrong with the strategy used, color the division and skip counting sequence that go together the same color, and become the teacher when they decide if each equation is correct or not when it was solved.
✅ 4 ERROR ANALYSIS PAGES
Students look at four different work samples and decide which pages are right and which are wrong based on what is shown. These are perfect for math talk or whole group discussions. The error analysis pages help with evaluating common third grade math mistakes.
✅ MATH SORT: RIGHT OR WRONG
Students look at each division equation and skip counting sequence. If the skip counting sequence is correct, they put a check next to it. If the skip counting sequence is wrong, they put an X next to it.
✅ WHITEBOARD SORT
Have students figure out which division equations go under each quotient. They can use the whiteboard to skip count to figure out which equation goes where. There are 2 versions included: a large one you can complete as a whole class or a smaller version for small groups or math notebooks.
✅12 MATH PUZZLES
There are also 12 math puzzles included. Students practice skip counting to solve each division equation and put each puzzle back together again. Each puzzle makes a different number and practices a different set of division facts.
✅ GAME #1: BUILD A TOWN GAME
Each player gets a background to build their town on. Playing cards and playing pieces go in the middle. Each time you get an answer correct, you earn a piece for your town. Chance cards are provided to spice up gameplay. You never know who’s going to win with these included! The first person to finish getting 10 items in their town wins!
✅ GAME #2: RACING GAME
This game is called "Line Them Up!". In the game, students race to see which team can line their cards up in the correct order first. Here are the steps to play. Mix up each set of cards well. Give a set of cards to each team. Start the race. Students find the START card first. They put this down. Once the start card is found, students find the answer to the equation. They continue to “Line Them Up” until they reach the FINISH card. The first team done wins!
✅ SKIP COUNTING POSTERS
There are 2 sets of skip counting posters included for you to display. One set is in the shape of numbers. The other set are simple print-and-go style. They include facts from 1-12.
You can use the games in your classroom as a math center, a whole group game, or have students complete independently in their math notebooks!

This aligns with 3rd Grade Common Core 3.OA.2:
- interpret whole-number quotients of whole numbers, e.g., interpret 56 ÷ 8 as the number of objects in each share when 56 objects are partitioned equally into 8 shares, or as a number of shares when 56 objects are partitioned into equal shares of 8 objects each.
This aligns with 2nd Grade Texas TEKS:
- TEKS 2.6B: model, create, and describe contextual division situations in which a set of concrete objects is separated into equivalent sets
This aligns with 3rd Grade Texas TEKS:
- TEKS 3.4H: determine the number of objects in each group when a set of objects is partitioned into equal shares or a set of objects is shared equally
- TEKS 3.4J: determine a quotient using the relationship between multiplication and division
This aligns with Florida BEST Standards (B.E.S.T.)
- MA.3.NSO.2.2 Explore multiplication of two whole numbers with products from 0 to 144, and related division facts.
