This is the recommended order that the basic addition and subtraction facts should be taught. I have PowerPoints that teach each set of these basic facts conceptually. You control animations with clicks of the mouse. These Powerpoints build mental pictures of the facts by using ten frames and number lines. They provide immediate feedback to your students because you control when the answer is shown...right after they give their answer.

As a Junior High Math Teacher, I used this Quarterly Student Self-Assessment (in English and Spanish) to help students run their Student Led Conferences. My students completed it after seeing their grade and going through their portfolios. I kept it to one page so they would also have time to go through their portfolios with their parents. The classroom behavior section allows parents to see what you have to say about their child in case you are busy with another conference.
