2 and 3 Digit Division Dogs
This is a super fun activity for practicing 2 and 3 digit division! Students create a dog as they solve, and the teacher can quickly check the appearance of the dog to assess the skill. For example, does the dog have glasses or a long tongue? Only one of these will be correct! There are two different dogs so students will not all have the same result. A full answer key is provided. Addition with Regrouping -- Question Categorization
Students need to recognize which addition questions will require regrouping, and which will not. Help them think about this first step with this simple activity.
Have them cut out the questions and sort them into two columns: one for questions that require regrouping, and one for questions that will not. This is to be used after you have introduced the basic concept of regrouping, and has really helped my students with their problem-attack strategies.
