I use this as a introduction to protein synthesis for my 7th graders. It requires the same skill set but removes the amino acids in place of simple letters. Students enjoy decoding the message and solving the riddles. Great for students who enjoy puzzles and challenges. There is also a coded hints page to help them with the riddles. On average, the students can finish the first two riddles in class and finish the second two for homework.
