This is a fantaastic tool which is used at my grade level for recording and studying math vocabulary. The packet covers all vocabulary taught in the Houghton Mifflin Math for second grade. The words are printed in alphabetical order to help with dictionary skills as well. Each page allows for two vocabulary terms with an example or illustration, and a place for the definition as well. One of the biggest problems math students face is not knowing which operation to use in each situation. They can add, subtract, multiply and divide, but it doesn't do them any good if they don't know which operation to choose.

Geometrical Solids - QR Codes
This activity can be used to review the names of geometrical solids that students learn in third, fourth, and fifth grade math. Students can work independently at a station or during independent work by naming the solid and then checking the answer by scanning the QR Code with an IPAD or other Smart Phone Device.
