This is a compilation of review questions for the main units taught in 8th grade Science. Includes questions from the Hydrosphere Unit, Earth and Evolution Unit, Cells and Microbiology Unit, and Chemistry Unit. A great simple lab about how temperature, size, and volume can effect the rate of a reaction. This lab is done using Alka-Seltzer tabs (or other effervescent tabs). Fantastic Lab that students love and is one of my favorites! Since I always do these two together you get two labs together. The first is a lab to demonstrate Osmosis. This Practice has been a huge success with several of my tutoring students. It is a no frills practice that involves both adult and student participation. Looking for a good way to have students understand the Law of Conservation of Mass? Here it is! In this lab students use baggies to demonstrate a "closed" system.
