Linear and Nonlinear Functions
This activity can be divided into two parts: teacher guided practice (using the first worksheet) and individual student or partner practice (using the second worksheet). The second worksheet could also be used as a quiz.
Students will be graphing linear and nonlinear equations. They may graph the linear equations using a table, x and y intercepts or slope intercept form. They will graph the nonlinear equations using a table.

Teaching style
My main goal each day is to focus on the students: to help them learn, understand and use the knowledge they have gained. I try to incorporate into the classroom a hands on approach to math. If the students can see and touch what they are trying to accomplish, the retention is so much higher. I try to challenge the students, and to create an environment in which they want to learn.
