This is a fun and engaging game for your students to play to learn 120 Power, snap, sight words. The words are based off of ARC reading program and can be used in a variety of ways. You can cut them up and laminate them as task cards/boxes. You can keep them whole and laminate them for a center activity. Also great for morning work, early finishers, or a quick impromptu practice or warm up. The students read the word to their partner and fill in the circle trying to win the game of tic-tac-toe.
Students earn tokens on the themed boards. Some months have fewer token spots than others due to months having fewer school days. Once the class fills the token spots the class earns a reward. I generally have my class vote on a reward they want. If you find it works best to give out lots of tokens then once they earn a reward clear the board and start again.
