I have been through many of the lower grades. 1st and 2nd are my absolute favorites, but I also have a soft spot for 4th! I absolutely LOVE teaching. I couldn't ever imagine doing anything else. Reading is a passion of mine, and I am currently going back to grade school to get my reading specialist certificate.

Subtraction with Regrouping: Powerpoint Introduction Presentation

This is another subtraction with regrouping PPT presentation to use with your kiddos. These are great for teachers that must use the LEARN model for their math lesson plans which requires them to have a 10-15 minute mini lesson introduction.

Math Reflection Journal

I use this journal with my math workshop outline in my math classroom. We stop rotations with 7-8 minutes to spare in class. My students go back to their seats and choose a prompt from this packet to answer that day. They can choose any prompt they want. If time permits I call on a few students to share. It has the students reflect on their learning! I used blooms taxonomy to create my types of questions.

Bugging Out with Division and remainders

This product was made for helping students work on their division with remainders skills. I am currently working with 3rd grade students who are having a difficult time grasping the concept. I have put together three different center activities for students to be able to use to help them practice. I included a reference page for students to glance at to remind them how to start off a problem. I also included vocabulary cards for quotient and remainder Center 1 - Caterpillar Task Cards Thi

Experience

I have been through many of the lower grades. 1st and 2nd are my absolute favorites, but I also have a soft spot for 4th! I absolutely LOVE teaching. I couldn't ever imagine doing anything else. Reading is a passion of mine, and I am currently going back to grade school to get my reading specialist certificate.

Teaching style

I want the environment of my classroom to be one where students are excited to come to each and every day. I want them to feel safe, and know that their classroom is a place where they can express themselves. With the being said, I am a stickler for behavior. My students learn that right off the bat. I love rewarding good behavior. FUN is my middle name, and I put that word into as much of my activities as possible.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I graduated with honors in undergrad, and will hopefully be doing even more for grad school!

My own education history

I graduated high school in 2007. I attended the University of Pitt at Johnstown Campus. College was the most amazing time of my life. I loved every minute of it. Th education program was wonderful. I was able to do 4 Field placements and 3 different student teaching experiences. I graduated college in 2011. I am now currently going back to grad school for reading at Edinboro.
