Creating Classrooom Magic

This is another subtraction with regrouping PPT presentation to use with your kiddos. These are great for teachers that must use the LEARN model for their math lesson plans which requires them to have a 10-15 minute mini lesson introduction.

This presentation introduces students to the artist Tyree Guyton. It explains how this man took his old abandoned neighborhood and turned it into live art. There is a read aloud titled "Magic Trash" that is included in this presentation as well! This is a great lesson to use for Earth Day as well as to integrate the arts into your instruction!

This is the st installment of the Mathematician warm ups for Money. I use these for my 10-15 minute warm up for Math Workshop. Students follow along using their white boards to answer the questions.

This test was created to assess students understanding of place value concepts. This can be given paper pencil or you could make it digital if you desire. I have used it both ways. I have left an empty box at the top right corner of each page. Here I recorded myself reading the directions and placed the speaker icon of my recording in this blank box if you choose to use it digitally. I give my 1st graders 3 minutes. This are given out on Friday. Once they are collected, they are graded. There is a place for the grade, as well as a badge showing they passed!
