Daily Weather Log Graph Analysis Project (MYP Criterion E included)

This is a great summative assessment project at the end of a unit on weather. Students take on the role of a meteorologist and record several atmospheric conditions everyday for a month using either weatherchannel.com or weatherbug.com. At the end of the month students then organize all of their data into tables and several different graphs to see any patterns or relationships between the different atmospheric conditions. Experience

I am entering into my 18th year as a middle school science teacher in an International Baccalaureate School so I am very experienced in the Middle Years Program. Over the course of my professional education I student taught in the 4th grade (all subjects), and I have also taught seventh grade math, science, health, and technology classes.

Teaching style

I am a very positive, warm and friendly teacher. I love hands-on learning and strive to make as many real-world connections as possible into the teaching and learning process.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was the coach of two second place national winning teams in the science NSTA/ExploraVision Competition in the year 2008 and 2011.

My own education history

I have a BS from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, a MA in Educational Technology from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, as well as a MA in educational leadership from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
