I used this for an assignment during my Grade 5 First Nations & Europeans unit. This was a way to have students make connections to First Nations culture by creating a totem pole, connecting to animals and the values they hold. Make sure to use resources created my Indigenous artists, writers and creators to show students what the animals represent.
