I've taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades for 17 years. Before that I worked in several high-tech companies in marketing and mobile computing divisions. Coming into the educational environment came with a learning curve. My focus is to provide interesting and straight forward products that take little prep or copying.

It's difficult to teach students higher level math when they don't know their basic facts. This week long homework assignment fits on one page and is kept in students' binders during the week. There are two different levels, for beginning (3rd grade) and a higher level for those facts that most students find difficult to master (4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12). It's difficult to teach students higher level math when they don't know their basic facts. How can you hold kids accountable and motivate them to practice their math facts? Make it more visual by having them graph their success! We use this graph after students take their weekly 2 minute timed test on math facts.
