Any chance I can to give students the ability to be creative in math, I take it! This is an enrichment project I use during my Pythagorean Theorem unit. Students are tasked with applying their knowledge of the Pythagorean Theorem to create a Wheel of Theodorus. The download is a word doc., so you have the ability to edit it to fit the needs of your classroom.

This packet contains 12 geometry problems that really challenge students. Students must first determine if the problem is asking them to calculate volume or surface area. Students are challenged to recall the rules of congruency in corresponding angles, vertical angles, alternate exterior angles, and interior adjacent angles, and apply rules of solving equations to find the missing values. This is a quiz I wrote to assess my students knowledge on the rules of translations, reflections, and dilations. The quiz is 20 multiple choice questions, and it tests students ability to write transformational rules, as well as apply them. There are no rotation rules on this quiz. This is a "formula chart" for students to record their understandings of each of the three volume formulas, starting with a cylinder. Students should have the knowledge that the volume of a cylinder is equal to pi*radius(squared)*height; from there, they discover that the volume of a cone and a sphere are derived from the formula for the volume of a cylinder. This culminating class project will allow students to demonstrate an understanding of several geometric vocabulary words. This resource is used to practice writing algebraic rules for translations on the coordiante plane.
