About the store

Experience

I have taught kindergarten through sixth grade in special education resource settings and inclusion classrooms.

Teaching style

In the classroom my goal is to meet each student's individual needs. I start on his/her level and work up from there. Many times this includes making modifications in instruction to help a child feel successful. I am there to do whatever is necessary to help each student meet their maximum potential and be the best person they can be. Sometimes 'keeping it simple' is the best way to make this happen.

My own education history

I graduated from Purdue University with a Minor in Reading, a Second Major in Speech and Hearing, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I obtained my Masters in Special Education from Georgia College.

Additional biographical information

Teaching is my passion. Along with other things in my life, it helps to define who I am.
