For my seventh graders, I wanted a reference sheet for them to use throughout the school year which would cover all the properties we would address during the school year. I also used this for my 8th graders as a review. Following Marzano's recommendations for effective lesson design, I tried to include examples, non examples (using mistakes my students commonly make), and pictures to illustrate the concept.
This sheet covers the following properties:
Commutative
Associative
Additive Identity
After our first year adopting the Go Math series, I found myself supplementing the book with materials for my students to help support all learners. I teach a wide range of students that includes a class of all gifted/accelerated students that could use some extra challenge to having a co-taught class that could use more supports. Therefore, I created these companion guides for each chapter (but could be used not only for Go Math but the topic in general in any 7th grade class) as a one-stop too

I created this activity to use when introducing the idea of functions for my students. I tried to provide them a visual to remind them of what a function does and how to determine whether or not something is or is not a function by looking at a table. The flow chart then builds upon that idea by combining tables, ordered pairs and graphs to determine whether or not something is a function.

After finding that some of my lowest level students struggled with just organizing their problems and using a formula to solve simple interest scenarios, I created this organizer to help them plug numbers into the spots and then copy down their steps. I did
