This product has a graphic organizer for adding mixed numbers with unlike denominators and for subtracting mixed numbers with unlike denominators. The method DOES NOT USE BORROWING. The organizer allows the student to write numbers in the graphic organizer and has two organizers per sheet. These graphic organizers help the students multiply and divide mixed numbers. They may also be used for multiplying or dividing a mixed number and a fraction (by ignoring one of the "whole number" boxes). There are two organizers per page for each type. The organizer should be used at least once with the students to show them how it may be used. I intentionally left off a lot of explanation on the organizer because I wanted to make the organizer simple and not "busy" . This method uses the least common denominator of the two fractions.
