This product contains a set of 10 distance - time practice questions. They can used when teaching physics in junior science, or also in Mathematics. I made them for kids when they asked for extra practice, as they found some of the concepts hard to grasp. The first question is explained in clear detail, and is followed by 10 other practice questions. The sheets are beautifully laid out, to be as presentable as possible to students. Answer key is included. I hope you find this product very useful

This is a jigsaw puzzle detailing questions and answers about the plant and animal cells and their organelles. This is a wonderful review activity (especially for middle school kids) that my kids found very enjoyable, and I'm confident yours will also. The cell has 30 pieces and when finished, covers an area of about 2.5ft x 2ft, and really brightens up a classroom as an informative wall poster when finished. If wall space (or lack thereof) is an issue in your classroom, the puzzle is also inc

I did this with 2 classes of my kids a few weeks ago, and they loved it, learned so much. We created out own table of elements and hung it on the wall - all 119 elements. One was for a regular chemistry class and the other was for a higher level class. The higher set has the configuration of every element. Both sets have diagrams on them showing which elements are solids, liquids, or gasses art room temperature. Check out the preview file and pictures to get an idea of what was used and what wa

This product is a PowerPoint presentation of the how fats, lipids and carbohydrates are broken down in the small intestine by different enzymes. Even though it is a single slide, it still is quite comprehensive and fully editable to suit your own wishes. It’s also available as a single picture (both blank and labelled) and also as a (blank) black and white picture, which my students love to use and color in. Also for your convenience, a video of the PowerPoint is also included, for those with

This product includes templates that, when cut and folded, will form a pyramid for metals in the reactivity series. The largest pyramid is for the most reactive metal, potassium, down to the smallest one for the least reactive metal, gold. The pyramids are designed to fit inside each other: so basically, the smalles pyramid (gold) will fit inside the second smallest pyramid (silver) and so on up to the largest pyramid (Potassium). The photo taken makes what I mean clearer to understand. The 11

Experience

12 years teaching Math at a variety of levels (Primary to grade 12 including Pre-Calc, Algebra I and II, IGCSE, A-Levels, SAT I and II, GCSE, O-levels etc), Chemistry AP; A - level, and SAT II, Physics, Bio AP and Bio SAT. Teaching style

I like to challenge the students and create activities that make them scratch their heads and have to think about a topic or situation. I try to make each topic as applicable to everyday examples as I can. Being able to regurgitate information is one thing, but I like to see students thinking outside the box.

My own education history

Bachelor or science Education (Honours), Taught masters in Software localisation.

Additional biographical information

I come from Ireland, but have lived and worked in an environment that is mostly concerned with American curriculum or British curriculum, in that time teaching mainly Math and the three Sciences (chemistry, physics and biology, as well as ecology and environmental science etc) and English as a language.
